Wellness Examinations: Regular wellness exams are crucial for monitoring growth, development, and overall health. We recommend exams at 8, 12, and 16 weeks of age. During these visits, our veterinarian and staff will conduct a thorough physical examination, check weight, administer necessary vaccinations, and provide parasite prevention and control.
- Vaccinations: We offer a complete range of core and non-core vaccinations tailored to meet the specific needs of your puppy or kitten. Puppy shots include rabies, distemper, parvovirus, leptospirosis, and bordetella shots. Kittens are recommended to receive rabies and FVRCP. We carry additional vaccinations that may be recommended based on your pets expected lifestyle. Our goal is to educate you on what the vaccinations are for, why they are recommended, and develop a plan catered to your pets lifestyle and needs.
- Parasite Prevention: Puppies and kittens are particularly vulnerable to parasites such as fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites. We recommend and provide appropriate parasite prevention to keep your furry friend safe and healthy.
- Spaying & Neutering: Recommended ages of spaying and neutering can vary greatly based upon your pets species, breed, expected size, and gender. The science on when to spay/neuter is different for a 5lb chihuahua vs. a 150lb Great Dane. Our veterinarians educate you on the appropriate time for your pet.
-
Behavioral Counseling: Proper socialization and training are vital for healthy development. Our team can provide guidance on housebreaking, basic obedience, and addressing common behavioral concerns.
-
Nutritional Guidance: The pet food market can be overwhelming and confusing. We are here to help you decide what food to feed your growing pet and discuss when it is time to switch to an adult food.
-
Microchipping: To enhance the safety and security of your furry friend, we offer microchipping services. Microchips are a permanent form of identification that can help reunite lost pets with their owners.
